What if you had an emergency and the police, firefighters and emergency medical technicians couldn't get your house? What if they couldn't even find it? Precious minutes could be lost.

Let's start with making sure we can find you in an emergency. Make sure your address is clearly visible, night and day, from the road. We'll even come out and install an address sign on your property. Click here to request a sign.

Next, we want to make sure trucks and ambulances can get up your driveway. Firetrucks are wide, so you'll need 12 feet of drivable surface. The trucks are tall, too, so be sure there are no tree limbs, signs or wires that could prevent responders from getting to your house. Here's a diagram with the appropriate clearances:
