Gaston Rural Fire District

The volunteers of Gaston Fire singled out several firefighters for special honors Saturday night.

Among the honors: Assistant Chief Chip Hoodenpyl (photo at left) was honored for 40 years of continuous service to the district. Division Chief Jerry Hoodenpyl was applauded for 35 years of service.

Seth Hedin and Randy Hoodenpyl shared honors as Firefighters of the Year, while Lieutenant Clay Davis and Division Chief Jerry Hoodenpyl shared the Officer of the Year award.
