How to help people with Dementia or Alzheimer's
Pictured above is the same room. The only difference is that the door on the right has a "wrap" on it which is a picture of the residents former home. By taking a picture of the front door and placing it on their care home room door, this has helped residents find the way back to their own room safely, and help prevent going into the wrong rooms.
The feeling that people are "home away from home" is extremely welcoming and helps make it easier for family to remember what room to visit as well.
